Depthkit Refinement

Refinement is an optional step in all Depthkit workflows.

Maskless Refinement

Maskless refinement can be enabled on any Depthkit capture during the Applying Refinement stage.

• Higher export resolutions
• Reduction of depth noise.

Masked Refinement

Masked Refinement produces the highest quality achievable with Depthkit, enabling:

• Higher export resolutions
• Reduction of depth noise.
• All of the benefits of maskless-refinement
• Cleaner edges
• Removal of depth artifacts, such as small holes in the depth map, often caused by materials, lighting, and other capture conditions.

Masked Refinement requires:

• Some additional steps before/during capture
• Creating Refinement masks between capture and editing
• Applying Refinement during editing
