Depthkit Refinement
Refinement is an optional step in Depthkit Core and Cinema workflows.
Depthkit Core and Cinema Only
As of v0.7.0, Refinement is no longer used with Depthkit Studio captures.
Maskless Refinement
Maskless refinement can be enabled on any Depthkit capture during the Applying Refinement stage.
- Higher export resolutions
- Reduction of depth noise.
Masked Refinement
Masked Refinement produces the highest quality achievable with Depthkit, enabling:
- Higher export resolutions
- Reduction of depth noise.
- All of the benefits of maskless-refinement
- Cleaner edges
- Removal of depth artifacts, such as small holes in the depth map, often caused by materials, lighting, and other capture conditions.
Masked Refinement requires:
- Some additional steps before/during capture
- Creating Refinement masks between capture and editing
- Applying Refinement during editing
